The Centre for Fathering (CFF) on Wednesday (Aug 19) launched a new activity space for fathers and children here called "Dad's Adventure Hub".

Located at The Tennery, Bukit Panjang, Dad's Adventure Hub aims to help fathers spend quality time with their kids through activities like obstacle courses and bonding camps.

The 4,450-square-foot space includes a two-storey rock wall, a rope challenge course, and a dark tunnel maze where children lead the way for their fathers with a small flashlight. CFF will use the space to conduct parenting workshops and seminars too.

Minister for Social and Family Development Tan Chuan-Jin, who was at the launch of the adventure hub, said: "It's not just quality time, but quantity time as well, as much as we can manage. Because by being there as often as we can, we see our children growing up, we begin to understand them better. And learning values inculcation particularly, is most important coming from within the families. So efforts like this we should really celebrate, and encourage more parents, especially fathers to spend time and be there for their children."

Dad's Adventure Hub is an extension of the non-profit organisation's facilities, and will serve as the new base for activities. The Centre's former Toa Payoh office will become an outreach centre for fathers.
